What is homelife like from the perspective of kids? Alby, Lydia and Jacob live together in a well-appointed San Francisco flat, but its appointments are not their primary concern. Alby and Lydia, who share a room, preoccupy themselves with the drawing and redrawing of important boundary lines - rather like a replica in miniature of the redistricting that goes on in this country, one whose limits and demarcations are daily challenged and disputed. A boon in Jacob's eyes is the capacity an object or architectural element holds for climbing; as well as such critical factors as the proximity of the nearest bathroom. For that, he claims that he's got the best bedroom in the house. And certainly, in the middle of the night, this holds true.
